ISO certification is worth pursuing if at least one of the following applies to your business:
- A customer or tender has specifically asked for it
- You are bidding for public sector contracts (NHS, local authority, central government)
- A large corporate client requires it as a supply chain condition
- You want to demonstrate credibility to international customers
- You are expanding into markets where ISO certification is a standard expectation

The process is the same regardless of company size. It involves four stages:
Stage 1: Gap Analysis
We review your existing processes, documentation, and procedures against the requirements of your chosen standard. This identifies what is already in place and what needs to be developed.
Stage 2: Implementation
You implement the required management system. For small businesses, this typically means documenting key processes, establishing a few core procedures, and conducting an internal audit. UniCert provides guidance throughout this stage.
Stage 3: Stage 1 Audit (Document Review)
Our auditor reviews your documentation remotely or on-site to confirm you are ready for the full certification audit.
Stage 4: Stage 2 Audit (Certification Audit)
The full audit, conducted at your premises or remotely. Our auditor verifies that your management system is implemented and working effectively. If successful, your certificate is issued.
